What It Is

Five Bochurim. One Mashpia. Live Video.

Not a Zoom shiur with 200 people on mute. A real chaburah — the size you’d find at any bench in the beis medrash.

5

Bochurim per chaburah

Fixed group. Same five faces every session. No drop-ins. No lurkers.

1

Dedicated mashpia

Same rav every shiur. He knows your name, your mesechta, and where you left off.

3x

Shiurim per week

Scheduled around treatments, not the other way around. Miss one — it’s recorded.

The Learning Surface

The Gemara’s open. The chaburah’s live. One tap away.

Split-view learning, built for the way a chaburah actually learns. Sefer on one side, your five on the other. Tap a word — get the targum, the Rashi, the Tosafos.

Same daf, same page, together

The mashpia turns the page, it turns for everyone. Highlights, questions, side notes — all synced.

Every shiur recorded

Miss one for a treatment? Catch it later, on the same tablet, at your own pace.

Locked to learning

Pre-configured for Torah. No browser. No store. No distractions.

How It Works

Tablet at Your Bed. One Tap In.

Three steps from application to your first chaburah. We handle the tablet, the setup, the matching. You open the Gemara.

01

Apply in 2 minutes

Seven short fields. A staff member calls within 24 hours — usually sooner.

02

Tablet arrives pre-configured

Delivered to your room. Locked to Torah apps. No browser, no store, no distractions.

03

One tap into your chaburah

Matched with five bochurim at your level. Same group, same mashpia, three times a week.

Who It’s For

Bochurim Who Want Real Learning. Not a Zoom Link.

This is for you if

  • You’re a bochur away from yeshiva — hospital, rehab, or bedridden at home.
  • You want a seat in a real chaburah, not a seat on mute in a webinar.
  • You’re comfortable on a tablet and want the learning to match.
  • You miss the mashpia-talmid relationship, not just the shiur.

This isn’t

  • A recorded-shiur library you scroll through alone.
  • A Zoom classroom with 200 people and one teacher.
  • A gamified app that turns your learning into points.
  • A charity program that treats you like a recipient.

A Record of What You Learned.

Every chaburah tracks real progress — sessions attended, mesechtos begun, siyumim reached. Your mashpia notes your growth in writing, the same way rebbeim have marked talmidim for generations. You leave the hospital with a record of what you learned — not a participation certificate.

A siyum, not a score

Finish a mesechta with your chaburah and you get a real siyum document — with your name, your mashpia’s signature, and the names of the bochurim you learned it with.

A record, not a leaderboard

No points. No badges shaped like trophies. A written record of what was learned, in the language rebbeim already use.

Alumni, not graduates

Every bochur who completes a zman joins a network of alumni — talmidim who kept learning through treatment, recovery, and beyond.

For Families

A Parent Account. Read-Only.

Three questions families ask before they apply on a bochur’s behalf. Call for anything else — a real person answers.

Is the tablet locked so he can’t browse the internet?
Yes. The tablet ships pre-configured for Torah use only — no browser, no app store, no social apps. He opens it, he’s in the chaburah. That’s it. The configuration is locked at the device level; he can’t change it, and neither can staff at the hospital.
Can I see that he’s attending, without him feeling watched?
Yes. A parent account gets read-only access — attendance, mesechta progress, the mashpia’s written notes at the end of each zman. You do not see his camera, his messages, or anything inside a live shiur. Peace of mind without a surveillance layer.
What happens if he misses a shiur for a treatment or a bad day?
Every shiur is recorded. He can catch up on his schedule, from the same tablet, at his own pace. The mashpia sends a short written recap to the chaburah after each session, so he can rejoin the sugya without feeling behind.
Is there any cost to the family?
No. It’s free. The program is funded by donors and supported by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The tablet, the mashpia, the matching — all covered. If the chaburah becomes part of his week, it stays free for as long as he’s a member.
